SLAA Recovery involves reading and reflection. As we read others’ experiences of addiction, we relate and no longer feel alone. As we also read others’ experiences of recovery, we feel hopeful that we too can find freedom. Reading and reflection on the steps is also an essential component of working the steps to recovery.
HOW DO I GET LITERATURE?
In-person or face-to-face meetings often have a selection of pamphlets or copies of the frequently requested texts available for purchase. Alternatively, you can purchase literature from the Auckland Intergroup Online Store, using the Order Form.
We recommend:
- Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous: The SLAA Basic Text - this is the core of all our literature. It provides insight into the problem of sex and love addiction and the Twelve Steps of Recovery. A must have.
- The Step Questions Workbook - the latest and most comprehensive workbook (A4 format) for working the steps with a sponsor.
- State of Grace - Daily Meditations. A very popular and useful tool for daily recovery meditation, prayer and reflection. Some meetings also use this to provide a basis for sharing.
If the item you are looking for is not currently in stock, it can be included in our next order for new stock from SLAA Fellowship Wide Services (USA). For further information about inclusion in future orders please email [email protected].
Alternatively, you can purchase literature directly from SLAA Fellowship Wide Services yourself as digital downloads here, as freight costs for small orders of books and pamphlets are expensive. This website also has FREE resources, including audiobooks.
If you plan to make a special trip to one of the in-person meetings for literature, it pays to email in advance whether they have the item you are after in stock. You can find the details on the Meetings pages or fill out the Contact Form.
