2023 Retreat

Planning is well underway for another amazing time of sharing, fellowship, spirituality and recovery at the 2023 Auckland SLAA Retreat! Here's what you need to know!
- Venue: St Francis Retreat Centre
- Address: 50 Hillsborough Road, Hillsborough, Auckland
- Date: March 3-5, Friday evening (after dinner) to Sunday noon (before lunch)
- Registration Deadline: Monday, February 20th
- Cost: $225 per person - incl. private individual room, meals (from Breakfast Sat AM to Breakfast Sun AM)! Contact slaainauckland@hotmail.com if you need financial assistance (a limited amount of support is available).
The programme includes plenty of time for recreation and socialising - all part of enjoying each other's company and thus our recovery!
We'll begin with reflecting on the way that a Higher Power (of our own understanding) aids our recovery, and then have themed sessions for Saturday and Sunday. Our theme this year is based on the concept of service, one of the 5 resources that we draw on in our recovery, with interactive, discussion-based sessions, facilitated by trusted members drawn from our groups. These sessions will show us how service helps each of us as individual addicts, then with other addicts in the fellowship, at the group level, and at the intergroup and international level. We'll conclude with a general session reflecting on what the weekend has meant to us. This is always a fascinating session!
We're not aware of anyone who has ever regretted spending the time and money to come along!
